Miracle on the Hudson

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

Thanks to the professionalism and selflessness of the pilots, crew, and emergency workers, Concrete Jungle is happy to hear that all 150 passengers and 5 crew members are safe and well. It was a beautiful sight to see New Yorkers coming together to help each other out. Multiple boats immediately rushed to the scene of the accident. Many of those boats were Circle Line ferries, from the iconic New York ferry tour company that takes people on tours of the city skyline via the New York Harbor. In these hard times, it is good to remember how lucky we all are to be alive.

There’s like 500 million thousand billion hundred other galaxies out there, besides our own. We are a galaxy – a gravitationally bound system consisting of stars and other matter all orbiting a common center of mass like, in our case, what we call the “sun” and the planets around it like plato, saturn, and your anus. So we would not think you’re a wacko if you told us there is another life form out there, but rather we would think your nuts if you thought there is no other life form out there – there has to be. But what we really don’t get is why are all these alien spottings in rural farmlands in the middle of nowhere? Why don’t the aliens come towards the concrete jungles of our planet? Like a fly towards light, an alien towards clusters of lights (i.e. NYC or london or Hong Kong or one of the other great cities of the world) Aliens: the one cluster of lights you see with all the crazy colors and flashing lights, that’s Las Vegas.
